Two Vietnam era Western Cutlery W49 Bowie knives: A early Western W49 bowie knife and sheath with USAF stamped into the throat of the sheath and the date 1969 stamped into the grip. Western Boulder Colo.U.S.A. and Bowie are stamped into the underside of the brass guard. The sheath is slightly unusual, having rawhide lacing around the outside (14.5-inches long with a 9.5-inch blade). Western W49 Bowie Knife & Sheath with "Vietnam "65 -66" written on the reverse of the sheath. The blade is stamped Western Bowie U.S.A. on the ricasso. The knife has the standard polished wooden grips and brass guard (14.75-inches long with an 9.5-inch blade).
