A WWII era survival knife bowie and sheath by Kinfolks, USA. This is a knife resembling a Western W49 or Case XX bowie, but somewhat better made than either. The guard has a solid brass black between the blade and the grip. The grip is highly polished black wood that entirely encloses the tang. The pommel is pronounced somewhat like a mameluke sword. It has three rivets in it. The blade has two narrow fullers, and is stamped Kinfolks Inc. The sheath is smooth brown leather with a sewn welt on the reverse. Size: 14.5-inches long with a 9.5-inch blade.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition
Great. There is light staining on the blade, and it has been sharpened. The stamps are very clear. The sheath has a slight bend right at the tip, and there is verdigris on the brass guard. Please see photos.
