An interesting percussion pistol with a dog-lock, older barrel and lock on a somewhat crude modern stock. The barrel is .80 caliber smoothbore and octagonal, The lock plate is flat, and has a rectangular slot through which the external sear protrudes. The hammer is a fairly standard percussion hammer, but has a "wing" extension for holding on the sear. There is simple engraving on the lock plate and hammer. The trigger guard is brass, and appears to be a modern replacement, and the stock is modern, and somewhat simply formed, possibly of pine.. There is no ramrod, nor butt cap.
Size: 13 3/4 inches long overall with an 8 1/8 inch long barrel
