An Acoma Pueblo style open bowl by John F. Aragon (b. 1962). The bowl itself is decorated with animal motifs that appear to be species of mountain goats, deer, and bears, with a geometric pattern around the rim. It is signed on the underside "Acoma, N.M. / J.F. Aragon / Feb. 1988."
The closest match to this signature points to John F. Aragon, a noted Acoma Pueblo potter, son of Florence Aragon, and grandson of Lupe Aragon, who is known for his use of mimbre animal designs on his pottery.
