It is signed on the underside "Acoma, N.M. / J.F. Aragon / Feb. 1988." The closest match to this signature points to John F. Aragon, a noted Acoma Pueblo potter, son of Florence Aragon, and grandson of Lupe Aragon, who is known for his use of mimbre animal designs on his pottery.
