Four very interesting variants on the W49 bowie, by different makers:
A W49 bowie, unmarked, in a sheath that appears to have been made from parts of a McClellan saddle. The knife has a beefier grip than a Western W49, and the guard is a bit thicker. The sheath has a leather strap, and has two sections of heavy saddle leather that are laced together with buckskin. Size: 15 1/4 inches long with a 10 inch blade.
W49 style bowie knife in tan leather sheath, with tiger-striped maple grips with brass rivets, and straightened guard. Unmarked. Size: 15 inches long with a 9 3/4 inch blade.
Pakistani made W49 copy in black leather sheath. The grip is somewhat cruder than the usual W49, with no visible rivets. The guard is very thin "S" shaped brass. The blade is somewhat thin, and is stamped Pakistan in a crescent. Size: 15 inches long with a 10 inch blade.
Parker Cutlery Company W49 style bowie knife and sheath with engraved blade with map of Louisiana, parts of Texas including the Alamo, Louisiana highlights including a magnolia, a pelican, Mardi Gras, crawfish, and a man with a bowie, and "America's Best Bowie Knife," in a brown leather sheath. The blade is very clearly stamped on the ricasso, "Parker Cut. Co.above a spread-winged eagle, over Surgical Steel." Size: 14 3/8 inches long with a 9 3/8 inch blade.

Condition
The first knife has been cleaned and sharpened and has some staining. The leather of the sheath is dry and needs cleaning. The second knife has been harshly cleaned and has a gray finish overall. The third knife is very good plus. The Parker knife is excellent plus and nearly mint in a slightly worn sheath.
