A "Chicago Long Range Wonder" double barreled hammerless shotgun made for Sears, Roebuck & Company, serial number 12679, in 12 gauge, with damascus barrels. It was manufactured by the Alexander Fryberg & Sons Company about 1900. The gun is very plain, with no decoration whatsoever other than checkering on the wrist and forend. The right hand barrel is marked "Genuine Laminated Steel," while the left hand barrel is marked "Chicago Long Range Wonder." The hard plastic butt plate has a spread-winged eagle and "A.F. & Sons & Co."
Size: 45 inches long overall, with 30 inch barrels. There is a safety on the tang behind the opening lever.

Condition
The gun is quite dirty, and is not currently functional, as the safety is frozen in the on position. The general fit of the gun is not very good. The finish of the gun is rough in places. The wood is very dark, with a number of minor scratches and marks.The damascus pattern is very nice and quite clear. The barrels are very good. This is currently a non-firing gun.
