A.D.M. Cooper (1856-1924) Oil On Canvas Painting, Goddess Chariot Scene. Signed lower left, “ADM Cooper” and also signed “Desig M Lemaire”The “Desig M Lemaire” likely is ADM Cooper attributing influence of this painting to an artist named ‘M. Lemaire.’ Thus, ‘Designed by M. Lemaire’ is possible. However, there are no records suggesting Lemaire and Cooper ever met, even though a French painter by the name of Madeleine Lemaire (1845-1924) did live in the same part of history as Cooper. The painting depicts a dramatic scene of Goddesses in a chariot led by a frantic group of gargoyles or mythical birds. This is a particularly large painting at just over six feet in width.Dimensions: 72.5” x 45” framed. 66” x 39” canvasThis piece is too large for us to ship and can only be picked up at our warehouse in Sacramento, CA.
