An interesting W. Richards shotgun, with outside hammers and a side lever barrel release, with interesting contemporary repairs to the wrist. The shotgun is cartridge, with attractive damascus barrels. It has a side lever latch for opening the breech. It is marked "W. Richards" on the back action locks, and "Laminated Steel" on the rib between the barrels. The wrist is repaired with four heavy brass strips with a total of 17 screws to hold them in place!
W. Richards was a name used by Henri Pieper of Liege, Belgium, in an attempt to make his productes more appealing to an English speaking market.
