Gilt-finished insignia in the form of spread wings flanking a vertical propeller, die-struck with good feathering detail. Reverse fitted with screw-back center disc and dual clutch-back fasteners for secure wear on the service coat or tunic collar. This insignia was worn by enlisted men and officers of the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII, symbolizing aviation service and mechanics. Dimensions: 2 x 3 in. This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $50.00. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Good. Retains areas of gilt finish with surface wear and toning; reverse hardware complete though with age oxidation and loss of finish around center.
