A lot consisting of two paintings by 18th-century Flemish artist Jan Josef Horemans (1682-1759), including:
- An untitled oil on board painting depicting a group of people working around a spinning wheel (17h x 18.5w inches).
- An untitled oil on board painting depicting a group of people mending cloths and garments (17h x 18.5w inches).
Neither are signed, however there are identification labels on the back of each frame. Both frames are museum quality with picture lights attached to hang above each.
This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $100.00. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition
Overall good condition. Some surface wear visible across both frames. Expected age wear visible across both paintings, including old darkened varnish. However no major wear or restoration is visible under blacklight. Neither examined out of frame. Please see photos.
