The 1892 patented belt with the gold floral cartouche on its belt hook is stamped on leather "Harvey & Son MAKERS Des Moines, Ia."  The second belt has three metal clasps which are all marked "Patent 1856." The third belt is made of very dark worn leather and has a look characteristic of period Gold Rush belts.
