Stamped with makers' mark, "E. Ray Holes, Cottonwood Saddlery, Cottonwood, Ohio"

Idaho State Historical Society Paperwork included, which identifies the maker as E. Ray Holes, who opened Cottonwood Saddlery in 1936 and eventually moved the business to Grangeville, Idaho, in 1940. As of May 1982, per the letter, the shop was still run by E. Ray Holes' son. These chaps are specifically stamped "Cottonwood, Ohio" and thus were made between 1936 and 1940, before the business was moved.
