A very fine Smith & Wesson Model 3 single action revolver in .44 caliber, serial number 6649. The gun has a miss-matched cylinder. No. 117, but is otherwise in remarkable condition with matching numbered grips, and a lot of original blue finish. This is the Second Model of the Number 3, with a notched hammer to fit the latch. There re minor scratches on the left side at the hinge, where it looks as if someone slipped with a screw driver. The gun is tight and crisp.
