A scarce and ingenious Quackenbush-Herkimer Air Rifle No. 5 in .22 caliber, serial number 1412, manufactured around 1890, with an ingenious action that could fire both as an air gun, and as a conventional .22 rifle. The action was originally nickel plated, with a handsome and modernistically designed stock.
Size: 40 inches long overall, with a 22 inch long barrel.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition
The nickel or chrome plating is largely worn off, and the metal is rusted overall. The stock is very nice, and retains its elegantly shaped butt stock. The action seems to still hold air, but I have not fully cocked it. The bore is extremely dirty.
