He was born 1839 in Aix, France to a co-founder of a French Banking Firm, granting Cezanne the luxury of attending school. He first enrolled in Law Studies at College Bourbon, befriending - who would go on to be - the famous French novelist & journalist Emile Zola, the subject of this etching. However in 1861 he moved to France to pursue art full-time, developing new modes of representation influencing the avant garde movement and bridging the gap between 19th-century Impressionism and 20th-century Cubism.Dimensions: (etching) 12.75H x 9.5W inches, (frame) 32H x 28W inchesProcessing and shipping within the Continental US $140.
