A gold presentation necklace with the screaming eagle crest of the 101st Airborne on the pendant engraved: To Mrs. Anthony McAuliffe Our Sincere Affection from the New York Chapter “Airborne All The Way” 18-4-71 Tarrytown New York. The chain consists of gold colored beads, 24 inches long with a gold colored pendant with an enameled “Airborne” over the screaming eagle of the 101st Airborne, surrounded by red “stones.” From Mrs. McAuliffe’s niece.
Dimensions: 24 inch chain holding a 1¾ inch pendant.
Provenance: Estate of General Anthony McAuliffe.
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
The chain is excellent. The reverse of the pendant is excellent. The front has a small black patch just above and partially obscuring the word “Airborne.”
