A beautiful and heavy sterling silver money clip made from a 1924 US silver dollar with an extensive inscription on the reverse, from American Legion Post 34, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There is also a small enameled American Legion badge on the front. The clip portion is shaped like a money sign ($) and is engraved, ‚ÄúPRESENTED TO GENERAL ANTHONY C. McAULIFFE, U.S.A. WHOSE COURAGE IN A BRAVE HOUR AT BASTOGNE PLACED HIM WITH THE MEN WHO HAVE MADE AMERICAN HISTORY. AMERICAN LEGION POST 34, LANCASTER PA. 1945 1950‚Äù The clip portion is marked Sterling by Jennings.
