A very attractive and tall pair of porcelain figures in the 18th century style, probably French with an "N" mark on each base, along with numbered 23/466 on each base. One figure is of a gentleman in flowered vest and breeches, wearing a pink coat, holding a tricorne hat and shyly offering his hand to the maiden. The maiden is wearing a flowered dress with a pink a pink over dress.. She has on a straw bonnet that has fallen on its ribbon to her shoulder. She is holding a rose presumably given her by the gentleman. They are on matching round white and gilt bases.
Size: the gentleman is 16 inches tall. The maiden is 15 inches tall.
