Four daguerreotypes of women in black probably in mourning. The first is an image clearly from the 1840s of a woman sitting on a spindle-back chair. The second image is an extremely clear image of the 1850s wearing a number of items of jewelry. The third image is a woman wearing wide sleeves with a painted buckle at her waist. The fourth image is exceptionally clear of a woman with black ribbons in her hair. The first three women are all showing wedding rings.
