Four sixth plate daguerreotypes of young women from the 1840s and 1850s. The first is in a floral print dress, and is an oval image inside of a larger surface on the plate. It is also in an oval matte. The second image appears to be quite early, of a young woman possibly in mourning in a black dress and white collar with a brooch. The third image is of a smiling young woman in a print dress. The last image is an excellent one of a serious young woman in a finely made print dress probably from the 1850s. The third image has amore ornate matte, while the other three are plain mattes.
