The image is sharp and clear. In 1988 the case was valued at $100.00. Exceptionally clear ambrotype portrait of a young man in a suit with velvet lapels, a satin vest, cravat, with a pin on his shirt front. There is a crack in the image that is not visible from the front. The case is a very fine floral case in excellent condition, with a rich purple velvet pad. The image is 2 by 2 3/8 inches. The case is by Critchlow. Oval matted tintype portrait of a young girl in tweed coat and hat, in a hexagonal case by Littlefield & Parsons. The case has a piece missing on the lid side, but is otherwise very nice. The glass is loose and does not quite fit the case. The image is 2 ¾ by 3 ¼ inches, and is exceptionally clear. A very fine tintype portrait of a bearded young man with an intense gaze, in a scarce Littlefield & Parsons Union case of The Scythe and Grain. The image is a ninth plate, 1 7/8 by 2 3/8 inches, and the image and case are excellent. A very nice double casing of two tintype portraits of a man and a woman, circa 1860. The woman appears to be in mourning. Both images are in oval mattes, the man’s being covered with stars. The case is by Littlefield & Parsons, and is of a handsome floral design. The images measure 1 7/8 by 2 ¼ inches, and both images and case are excellent. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. As individually described, one case having a missing piece, but the other four being excellent.
