An early 20th-century gentleman’s cane featuring a naturally bent bamboo crook handle fitted with a cast metal horse head pommel. The horse’s head, complete with bridle detail and expressive modeling, is likely bronze or a patinated base metal. The entire shaft is formed from a single length of bamboo, exhibiting natural nodes and a warm aged surface, tapering to a metal ferrule.

Condition
Good condition overall. The metal horse head pommel is slightly loose but remains securely attached. Age cracks are visible near the bend in the handle, with surface wear and patina consistent with age. Light oxidation to the metal, particularly at the eyes and nostrils. Please see photos.
