A collection of historic business correspondence and invoices connected to Northern California’s mining, commercial, and industrial heritage from circa 1880-1890: Pelton Water Wheel Co., San Francisco (1891) — Letter on finely printed company letterhead, celebrating the famed invention pivotal to mining-era hydropower. Henry Jinkans, Groceries & Hardware (Weaverville, 1886–1887) — Detailed invoices listing cartridges, bacon, butter, axes, and eggs. Mason & Thayer, General Store (Douglas City, 1885–1887) — Purchases such as tin spoons, wooden candles, and tacks. Royal Mountain Mining & Milling Co., Fairfield (1881) — Illustrated invoice letterhead showing miners at work. Dimensions: Up to approximately 11 × 8½ in.
