Talibon / garab sword with carved scabbard. From the Visayan people in the Phillipines. The blade is hollowed on the back side like a mandau or Japanese work knife. The entire handle is carved to represent a tiger. The scabbard bindings are steel wire, rather than split cane. The sharp blade is marked with both a "D" in the middle of the blade, and with what looks like Asian writing of some kind on the ricassoe.
Dimensions: 13" blade, 20.25" long overall.
