In pairs these are known as hudiedao or butterfly swords, usually made with handles that are flattened on one side so they fit in the scabbard together. These standalone single, long varieties are seen used in conjunction with a rattan shield or tengpai in the other hand.
Dimensions: 24.75" long overall, 20" blade.
