Two very fine small enameled portraits of French soldiers of the 1st Empire: the first is a Grenadier of the Imperial Guard smoking a pipe, wearing full dress. It is delicately tinted, and in a small oval frame with teal cloth surround. The second is framed identically and is of a trumpeter of French cavalry, wearing a bicorne hat, tall boots, with saber slung.

Excellent, with two small scratches on one frame.
