Two earthenware German steins, both early, both with blue decoration and both with engraved pewter lids. A tall earthenware stein with blue enamel decoration including wreathed letters "AK." The pewter lid and hinge are quite massive, with a large ball to aid in raising the lid. The top of the stein is hand-engraved with "No: 85" over the letters "C/P." Size: 10 inches tall. Another earthenware stein with blue enameled decoration and a pewter lid, this one with a glowering branch on the front, in a painted frame. The earthenware handle is topped with a pewter hinge with a small ball for aiding in raising the lid. The center of the lid is decorated with a fine lyre. Below the lyre are the engraved letters A.B.
