Dated 1578. An early English Geneva Bible, by Christopher Barker, with Apocrypha. Its importance lies in being one of the earliest English-printed Geneva bibles. Barker's bibles brought the Geneva bible into circulation in the English speaking world. At over 445 years old it stands as an important early example of Elizabethan printing.

The large 'Punishment of Adam' illustration is absent. Multiple Map illustrations are present, including the map of the Holy Land and a large bird eye view of the Temple in Jerusalem.

It was founded by Edward Willis Scripps in 1878. In popular culture the Scripps spelling be has run since 1941. This bible with an applied note on pastedown from George Blanchard Scripps. He notes that he received the bible in 1902, and that he has received it from his father, John Locke Scripps, in 1866.
