Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992) was a Japanese printmaker noted for his distinctive kappazuri (stencil printing) work. Associated with both the mingei folk-art movement and Japan's modern creative-print tradition, Moi frequently drew upon kabuki theater, historical figures, festivals, and traditional Japanese life. His prints are recognizable for their bold outlines, simplified forms, limited color palettes, and animated figures.
