WWII US Army Philippine Scouts bolo made by the US Spring and Bumper Co. Los Angeles.
Philippine Scout regiments were the first United States Army units to be in combat during WW2. When US army forces far east surrendered in May 1942, some members formed resistance against the Japanese occupation.
