A U.S. Army Marble's camp axe with khaki web military cover, stamped "MARBLE'S GLADSTONE MICH. U.S.A. CAMP AXE #10" over EAD, The EAD stamp appears twice on the axe head, as well as on the hickory haft. The khaki web cover has the letters H&P stamped on it over the very faint date of 1918 (21-inches long overall with a 5.5-inch head). There are age cracks on the haft, but they are very minor and do not affect the soundness of the haft. The axe head shows minor signs of use and sharpening.
