Excellent Western Cutlery W49 bowie knife in a very interesting sheath with hanger resembling a "Sam Browne" hanger as used by the British Army. The knife is stamped Western U.S.A. W49 over the letter M. It has the usual brass guard and beautifully polished wooden grip. The sheath is tan, appearing very well hand-made, with two rings at the throat and a tan leather strap for shoulder wear. Size: 14 3/4 inches long with a 9 3/8 inch blade.

Massive probably hand-made bowie knife with no sheath. The knife has an exceptionally broad blade, massive brass mounts, and wooden grips. Size: 18 5/8 inches long with a 12 inch blade that is 2 3/4 inches wide.
Serpentine blade bowie type knife, with long flamboyant blade, steel guard, and stacked leather grip, with steel pommel, in a black leather sheath. Size: 15 1/2 inches long with a 10 1/4 inch blade.

Condition
The first knife is still largely in its original factory polish, with a few very minor spots on the blade.
The second knife has some sharpening to the blade, and some minor staining on one side. There is verdigris on the guard, but the knife is very good overall.
The third knife has no sheath. The blade is pitted at the ricasso and along the edge, and more heavily on the left hand side.
The serpentine blade knife is very good, with a bright blade with minor stains.
