Very handsome Western Cutlery of Boulder, Colorado W49 blade bowie knife of the style popular during the Vietnam War, this one with black stag grips, brass cross guard, in a brown leather sheath. The blade is stamped, Western Bowie Stainless Steel, U.S.A. The knife overall is 14 1/4 inches and the blade is 9 1/8 inches. Western Cutlery classic bowie knife with the markings stamped into the underside of the brass guard, W49, and Western, U.S.A. The knife has highly polished wood grips, and the brown leather sheath has been nicely tooled and the letters RKM added at the throat. The blade appears to have never been out of its original wrappings, and is still in them in the sheath with a cardboard edge protector. Size: 14 5/8 inches long overall, with a 9 5/8 inch blade.
