Outstanding milk glass ambrotype portrait of a well-dressed man with a Van Dyke beard and moustache, a gold painted ring on his little finger, and a silk ribbon running across his shirt, probably for pince nez spectacles. The image is outstandingly clear and sharp. It measures 2 ¬Ω by 3 inches, and is in a gold colored matte, in a fine Union case in brown with a cross-like formation of cornucopias.
