Two very fine glass steins with pewter lids. The first has beautifully etched glass showing two birds in a bush with leaves and berries. The pewter lid has a facetted diamiond shaped piece of glass in it that gives a kaleidoscope effect when looked through.The second stein is of similar manufacture but has a scene on it of three ladies, circa 1900, on bicycles, laughing as they ride. They are in delightful 1900s bicycling costumes. The stein has a similar kaleidoscope lid. Size: the first is 6 1/4 inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch base. The second is 6 1/4 inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch base. Excellent condition. There is one minor rub on the painting of the bicyclists.
