An Overland Fisherman's Friend tool in its original leather case. It is in the shape of pliers, and has a knife blade set into one handle and a scaler in the other. The second fisherman's friend tool is also marked Solingen, Germany, and is based on a pair of pliers, but with a bottle opened at the end of one handle and a can opener on the other, serrations along the back of one side of the head for scaling, a hook puller in the pliers jaws. It is contained in a fitted leather case. Size: 7 1/4 inches long.
A very fine farrier or blacksmith's folding hoof trimmer, made by David Dominicus & Co. Remscheid. This is quite early, possibly pre-dating WWI. Remscheid is in Germany, where Dominicus started business in the early 19th century. This hoof knife is quite rare, as it was no longer made after WWI. The grips are wooden, fitted to the knife blade, and the blade is also stamped 540. Size: 4 3/4 inches when closed, and 8 inches long when open.
