Two Antique 1888 Big Wheel Bicycle Race Medals. The 1st place gold medal is gold plated. The second place medal is base metal. Both are stamped verso “John Harriot, Boston.”Dimensions: The first place gold plated metal is 3 1/2 inches tall and features a man on a Penny farthing big wheel bicycle. The second place medal is 2.5 inches tall and is for a 1 mile big wheel tricycle race. Both medals are dated October 13, 1888 and both are awarded to a M. W.
