Two knives including: Rare all brass hilted kukri knife from the Gurkhas of Nepal, with brass hilted side knives, engraved blade, in a black leather sheath. This is a very fine and interesting kukri, with its all brass hilts, and a blade with two narrow fullers on each side, as well as an engraving. The sheath has a brass tip, and the side knives also have brass hilts, all in mint condition (15.5-inches long overall, with a 10.5-inch blade) <Note: In 50 years of collecting kukris, this is the only one I have ever seen with all brass hilt.> Antique brass hilted African knife and sheath. The hilt is straight, with a large opening at the pommel, and a raised brass ring at the base of the grip. The blade is straight, double edged, and clearly hand made, with some rust on it. The sheath is brown leather with bands of white leather, and fringes at the tip (13.25-inches long overall, with an 8-inch blade). Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.

Condition

Great. The African knife is very good, but has some bright red rust on the blade at the point. Please see photos. Also consider this personal note from one of our team members: “In 50 years of collecting Kukris, this is the only one I have ever seen with an all brass hilt.”
