Finely detailed Austrian badges depicting the heraldic eagle in translucent red enamel with gilt accents, surmounted by a laurel wreath. The design reflects the traditional symbol of Austria, representing strength, sovereignty, and national pride. Badges of this type were commonly worn to commemorate loyalty to the Austrian state in the years leading up to and during the First World War, serving as patriotic emblems rather than military decorations. The badges are of gilt metal with cutout details and a pin-back construction, showing the quality workmanship typical of Austrian decorative and commemorative pieces of the period. Dimensions: 1.40 x 1.20 in. This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $50.00. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
