Three small portraits of children, one a silhouette of a child, possibly a boy, holding a toy soldier. It is on faintly striped paper, in a gilt oval frame. There are two miniature paintings, one primitive of a determined looking little girl in a pink dress holding a black kitten with an indignant look on the kitten's face! It is in a rectangular gilt frame. THe third piece is a beautifully executed painting of a young girl in profile, with short brown hair, wearing a beaded necklace. It is wonderfully detailed, clearly by a serious artist. It is on beige paper in a rectangular gilt frame. Size: The silhouette is 5 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches. The girl with the kitten is 5 by 4 1/2 inches. The young girl in profile is 5 by 4 inches. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. The silhouette is slightly yellowed, and there is a tiny scratch on the black of the silhouette. The other two items are excellent, with minor wear to the outsides of the frames.
