The back of the blade has a serrated section resembling that on a Scottish dirk, intended for breaking bones to extract the marrow. The grip is stag and it has a brass guard. It is in a brown leather sheath with a stag’s head on it (15.25-inches overall with a 10-inch blade). Another very handsome large bowie knife with “ORIGINAL BOWIE KNIFE” etched on the massive blade, and stamped Olsen Knives, Solingen, Germany on the ricasso. A large, heavy and very handsome large Solingen bowie knife in a handsome very traditional style with polished stag grips, and “BOWIE” on the blade. The ricasso is stamped G.C. CO. Germany and Solingen 447. The guard is brass, and the grips have three brass rivets The sheath is black and brown tooled leather with a cross hatched pattern and a ring mounted belt hanger (15.5-inches long overall with a 10-inch blade).
