Three hand-made bowie knives in Native American style: Primitive style bowie knife with huge stag hilt, long, heavy, meteor iron style blade, in a black leather sheath decorated with steel tack heads, fringe, and carvings in the leather. The majority of the blade is black, rough textured, but the edge is bright, making for a striking contrast (15.75-inches overall, with a 10.75-inch blade that is 2.5-inches wide). A plain traditional style bowie knife with two sheaths, one handsomely tooled, the other more compatible with period costume. The knife has a massive clipped point blade with simple wooden grips and brass down-turned guard. The blade is similar to those found on the classic Western bowie, but a bit heavier. The tooled scabbard has a stooping bald eagle tooled on it, along with a tooled eagle feather, and is stamped Carl Thomas, Maker. The more primitive sheath is simple buckskin, sewn at the edge, with a belt loop on the back (15-inches overall with a 10-inch blade). Hand made bowie knife with rough, hand made sheath with many small tack head rivets. The knife's hilt has a steel cross guard with a rounded rectangle shape.The grip is stacked leather with brass bands. The pommel is a large oval knob that has been painted gold.
