Older bowie knife with ebony grip, silver colored ferrule, brass guard, and a shaped blade with the number "^" stamped on the ricasso. The knife is exceptionally well balanced, and seems to be older, although it is in a modern sheath that is actually a little big for the knife. The grip almost looks like Philippine craftsmanship, being extremely well carved, but the blade appears to be American or European (14.5-inches overall with a 9-inch blade).
A fake "Wells Fargo & Co.'s Express Official U.S. Mail Knife." it is a crudely made and artificially antiqued bowie knife in a Native American style buff leather sheath with brass studs on it. The guard is brass, and the grip is wood with finger grooves in it (16.25-inches overall with a 10.5-inch blade).
A fake Thomas Griswold & Co. New Orleans, Confederate bowie knife dated 1862, with the Confederate motto, "Nil Sine Deo".stamped on the blade. The grip is crudely shaped wood with the letters A.L. carved into it and highlighted with red paint. The guard is thin brass. The blade has a random design of dots stamped into it. The sheath is modern black leather (15-inches long overall with a 10-inch blade).

Condition
Fairly Great. The first knife is in too large a sheath. The second and third knives have been artificially "antiqued." Please see photos.
