Extremely fine and handsome ship's barometer and thermometer circa 1800, mounted on a brass gimbal that allows it to move in three dimensions. It is cased in mahogany. The gimbal mount is on a brass arm that is attached to a wooden wall mount. The case is nicely carved in a spiral design. The wording is in English, so it is either British or American. Readings on the thermometer include "Summer Heat," "Blood Heat," and "Fever Heat."
Size: 38 inches long.
Condition
Very good to excellent condition, but the barometer and thermometer are showing their age.
