A percussion “dag” short blunderbuss used as a pistol, with plain stock and steel mounts, the barrel appearing to be fairly early, with a fine East India Company percussion lock with the prancing lion of the HEIC on the lock plate. The barrel is held to the stock with rawhide and brass wire. The ramrod is missing. Circa 1840.
Size: 20 ¬Ω inches long overall with an 11 ¬Ω inch barrel. Shipping: $45.00.
The gun is solid, but is missing two screws and the ramrod. The stock has an age crack in the butt. The lock is very good and functions well. The barrel and butt plate may be from an earlier gun.
