A large, very handsome solid silver punch bowl with four legs, and a silver ladle, all hallmarked, but by different makers. The punch bowl is European made silver marked 800, while the ladle is British hallmarked made of sterling. The punch bowl has a decorated rim and floral swag feet. The ladle's bowl has a cockle shell design with cross-shaped stampings. The ladle is London made, with the Lion passant mark, and the leopard's face stamp, as well as the date stamp "F," the head of George III in the 1790s. Size: The bowl is 11 1/2 inches across and 5 1/2 inches high, and weighs 17.141 ounces/15.87 ounces troy. The ladle is 12 1/2 inches long and weighs 6.35 ounces/5.78 ounces troy. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $45.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
