Printed circa 1930. First Edition. Signed and inscribed on front pastedown, "To My Son, Sincerely DeWitt Van Court"

Van Court was a boxing club instructor at the Los Angeles Athletic Club from the 1910's-1920's and prior was a boxing instructor at the famous San Francisco Olympic Club (still in existence today). Van Court was known to have taught James Corbett to box at the San Francisco Olympic Club.
