Very handsomely ovoid shaped stoneware jug marked Armstrong & Wentworth, Norwich towards the top. Armstrong & Wentworth of Norwich, Connecticut were in operation from 1814 to 1834. The jug has a number of American nickels glued to the inside bottom. There is no decoration other than areas of gray-blue paint at the bottom and top of the handle.
