Two finely executed oval portrait miniatures, each approx. 3 ¼ x 2 ½ in., mounted within larger oval openings in ebonized wooden frames. One depicts playwright and poet John Howard Payne (1791–1852), celebrated author of the beloved song Home! Sweet Home!, signed “Oliver” at lower edge.
