Two very fine mahogany carved sculptures of Li T'ieh Quai, one of the Eight Immortals, both leaning on carved iron crutches, each with a chicken pecking at his feet. They are very thin looking with visible ribs. They carry sleeping mats on their backs. and each has a large leaf on his back as well. They also have raised extensions that are drilled so they can be fitted as lamps. Size: one is 18 3/4 inches, the other 19 inches. Their bases are 7 inches across each. Excellent condition.
